The old town of Fredrikstad

The best preserved fortress town in the nordic countries is both vivid, charming and very interesting.

In these pictures, I have used topaz adjust filter and converted to black white.

Flotte bilder her hos deg!
Ha en fortsatt fin uke!
Hilsen nabo`n(",)

super - great tones, light and glistening roads

Such beautiful tones in these, and I just love those old buildings and cobblestones streets -- wonderful!

It´s a real poem for the cobble stones. They are so magnificent in the rain but annoyingly slippery sometimes.

You have chosen well, John, to make this series B&W. Outstanding and what a fine old town it is.

I love "old". The cobbled streets and the well preserved houses are captivating. The photos really depict the different time, as there are also not many people around, I saw one person and one bike. One can nearly hear the stillness of the town in your pictures.
