Some summer holiday shots captured in Borgholm on Öland in Sweden.
Heavy clouds with rain and tunder is comming....
Borgholm Castle in Borgholm, Sweden, is today only a ruin of the fortress that was first built here in the second half of the 12th century and many times rebuilt in later centuries.

Beautiful photos! Love the nice looking castle too!
Wow, those are all beautiful photos. I love the way you captured the stormy drama in the sky and the way the clouds look like they're rolling across the land. Fantastic!
Kjempefin serie!
Utrolig flotte bilder!!
Fantastisk fotoserie igjen :-)
John: Beautiful captures of the Skies of Sweeden over the castle.
Great photos, I really enjoy seeing other parts of the world. It would be nice to vacation there some day.
What a beautiful building it must have been in its day John. gtreat post and photos.
Perfect shots for Skywatch! Mine's up too hope you can drop by.... Happy weekend!
Hallo, John:)
Nydelige bilder. Ruin eller ikke ruin. Helt fantastisk vakkert uansett. Himmelen over er jo bare skjønn også. Dramatisk og vakker!
Ha en koselig Sky Watc-natt:)
Wonderful series of photos that clearly display the encroaching storm. Well done!
Aha, so now I know where the clouds come from: they are brewed in Borgholm Castle in Sweden, roll over the flat land, and then they come to us ... ;)
Phantastic photos!
Happy SWF!
great series of photos!wonderful
Ja, hva annet kan man si, enn ...
HERREGUD SÅ FINE BILDER!!!! Helt fantastisk imponerende. I'm your fan!
What a beautiful series of photos as the storm was rolling in and then leaving! These were stunning photos and such lovely views of the clouds and sky!
Impressive series you have here. Simply love this collection.
Wow! Impressive and awesome! Great series of photographs. Excellent! Happy SWF!
Words are inadequate to tell you how much I like these...I am sure I will long remember them and I know I will come back to look at them again and again this next week.
Fantastic series of photos. The sky is incredible; that roll-type cloud is just amazing. But the fortress makes it all so much more spectacular.
I take my hat off to you again. Your images are so uplifting for me each week. Outsatnding.
What wonderful, wonderful shots, love the first two with the burning castle. The fourth, where the castle is like Atlas holding up the heavens is superb as well as the swirling clouds by themselves. So much beauty my head spinns.
Great photos, very dramatic.
absolutely stunning pictures I love them. how awesome to have something so majestic to get to view in person!
Very cool!
wow those are fabulous and it looks like that the clouds are smoke coming out of that fabulous building. Love this old stuff
WOW! John, what a dramatic series of images. "Louis" enjoyed the play of light between the castle and the clouds.
difficult to decide but no 7 must be the one
Some great wide angled shots there, perfect for SWF! Thanks for sharing.
Love the heavy, ominous moods of these skies! In particular, love the old castle set in a grey drama of cloud! Very impressive!
Do you know...? For once I thought "Aha! These skies are ordinary! These skies (except for the castle) could be English! Ha!"
Then I scrolled on to the next one.
And the next one.
And the next...
And my jaw dropped. The formation of those clouds, the perspective with the road...
"He's done it again!"
And so you have John. Beautiful shots. Every one.
Wonderful series. Such clarity. Excellent!
Scary series of photos!!
Marvelous captures.
Have a nice weekend!

What a fabulous old castle, John, even if it is in ruins. Really nice!
Wowee, such dramatic photos. That must have been quite a storm! Great fortress too.
You have capturing an amazing shelf cloud. It is stunning, especially with the castle... wow, John!
wow! fantastic!
Incredible skywatch photos. Beautiful clouds, beautiful scenery, and beautiful building.
Great photos! I loved the stormy skies and there is so much beauty in these old buildings, which you have captured magnificently.
Very impressive series of shots, John. I would not want to get caught in that storm! That's a wonderful old castle. I found the Borgholms Slott website and it has a fascinating history.
It just kept getting better and better. I liked the way the clouds just rolled towards you like in a video.
Men du... trenger hjelp...
