Lindesnes Lighthouse

Lindesnes fyr is a coastal lighthouse on the southernmost tip of mainland Norway, the peninsula Neset. It is also the oldest lighthouse station in Norway, first built in 1655. To avoid confusion with the lighthouse at Skagen in Denmark, it was lit in conjunction with Markøy fyrstasjon. It has gone through several changes since it was built: In 1822, it was refitted with a coal lamp, and in 1854 a new lamp was installed with the current lens.

This Monochrome concept came from Aileni at The Monochrome Weekly

Your picture suggests bleakness yet the strength to resist the elements.
So good to see your work again.

Underbart foto. Stillhet och mycket ödslighet. Påminner mig om boken Nattfåk av Johan Theorin. Kuslig bok.

John, the structure looks imposing by the sea. Very nice.

This picture is perfect for a monochrome shot. It looks forlorn and imposing.

The depth and detail of this photo are amazing. I can imagine sitting in this lighthouse watching storms roll in off the ocean.
